5 More Things I Love About You - The Video

"What a pleasant surprise?!"  Don't you just love receiving unexpected gifts?  I am not talking about presents wrapped in multi-colored paper and ribbons.  Simple friendly notes, unpretentious "I Love You's", and thoughtful voice messages - expressions of one's heart swathed in layers of sincerity, hugs, and kisses.  That's what I am talking about, and frankly I don't mind receiving one from you.  (He-he-he)

The Union of Sau and Venus

Sau, in Chinese traditions, is the God of Longevity.  He  is one of the well-known three (3) Star Gods namely Fuk-Luk-Sau.  Venus, on the other hand, in Roman mythology, is the Goddess of Love and Beauty, counterpart of Aphrodite in Greek mythology.  She is one of the 12 Olympians.  I thought of naming this original artisan jewelry piece "The Union of Sau and Venus" because their symbolisms are represented in this necklace.

5 Things I Love About You

Is it possible to love you even more?

I was reading my tweets earlier today and I noticed that the number 1 trending topic is "10 Things I Hate About You".  I got interested and checked out the tweets on this topic.  I knew it.  They were tweeting 10 things they hate about someone while the origin of the tweet is about that 90's teen movie of Heath Ledger (which I consider hilarious by the way).  I therefore, thought of to come up a list of my own.  Instead of spreading "hate", I opted to spread "love".  So, here's my "5 Things I Love About You".

1.  you make me smile.  You don't have to say anything.  Just stand there.  You lift my spirits high.  You affect me deeply.  Just by merely looking at me, you make me smile.

2.  you listen attentively.  No problem is insurmountable.  No challenge is too fierce to handle.  No obstacle is too high to conquer.  Everything is bearable because you lend me your ears.  You listen attentively.  I realized that the solutions are always there.  I just have to let out those layers of doubts and fears.

3.  you cry with me.  You cancel out the loneliness.  You eliminate the hurt.  You wipe out the tears.  Suddenly I am no longer crying.

4.  you support me.  You encourage me.  You nourish me.  You enlighten me.  I fly and soar high because of your gentle and steady wind.

5.  you love me for what I am.  My quirkiness.  My temper.  My childish ways.  You don't want to change me at all.  You said I am unique and perfect just the way I am.

Your love is like a summer day - enjoyable, bright, clear and happy!

5 Things You Might Not Know About Your Mother

1.  your mom is a financial analyst.  She assesses your boyfriend's ability to earn income, sustain financial growth, pay obligations, and maintain cash flow just by looking at his car.

2.  your mom is a detective.  She knows wherever you are at any point in time.  What she does is triangulate your position using your cellular phone.  You may even have a homing device hidden in your Jimmy Choo's.  Check them out.

3.  your mom is a direct descendant of Pythia from the Oracle at Delphi.  She knows beforehand that you'll ask permission for a date.  She even knew if you were in a date before and never told her.  She's got this new crystal ball - Facebook.

4.  your mom has been exposed to gamma rays.  "Don't make her angry.  You wouldn't like her when she's angry."  She might turn green and that's so not her color.

5.  your mom is an alien.  How else could you explain your feeling of her presence even if she's not around?  It's like she's watching you all the time.  Ok, throw that cigarette and put down that beer.  You don't want to be beamed out of your date, do you?

Oh yeah!  There's one more thing.  Your mom is a source of infinite and unconditional love. Why else would she be there for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?  She's just awesome!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM!  I LOVE YOU!

It's Time... Now!

Tell your dad you love him.  Now!  Tell your mom you broke her prized china. Now!  Tell your wife how beautiful she is.  Now!  Tell your husband you bought that pair of shoes yesterday and overspent.  Now!  Tell your grandma that you adore her.  Now!  Tell your grandpa that you want to hear his wartime stories again.  Now!  Tell your best friend that you are falling in love with her.  Now!  Tell yourself that you’ll ace that job interview. Now!  Tell yourself that you deserve the best this world could offer.  Now!
NOW is the right time…

Crazy Good!

For fifteen short minutes, you’ll hold your breath in amazement, completely mesmerized by the kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.  It’s fantastical!… then back to darkness.
It’s like LOVE.  Yeah, CRAZY-GOOD!…

The pictures were taken from the 2nd day (18 February 2012) of the 3rd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition held at the Manila Bay opposite the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.  Countries from around the world showcase their fireworks accompanied by music.  There are 12 countries competing this year with 2 countries scheduled to perform every Saturday starting February 11 up to March 17.  The pictures were from Spain's entry.  Fabulous!  My primitive Canon PowerShot digital camera did some wonders!  LOL!

Don't Take Things For Granted

"Yahoo!  It's summertime.  No more school, no more books.  No more teachers, dirty looks.  Yahoo!  It's summertime where all kids can be naughty again....".  LOL!  Bugs Bunny said this, right?

Wooh. It's really hot here in the Philippines, especially during summertime.  It's so humid!  I think I'll go and take a swim at our pool.  Speaking of pools, here's my recent blog from "tumblr" about pools... I mean, about things we take for granted, like this pool.... LOL!

DO NOT TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED.

It takes less than one hundred steps to reach this pool from our condo unit.  Yet, I waded and swam in this pool no more than 5 times last year.  Yes, I know it's crazy.  We take things for granted more often than we can admit.

When was the last time you said "I love you" to your mom or dad?  When was the last time you had taken the whole family out for a picnic in the park.  When was the last time you took a luxurious bath for more than an hour?  When was the last time you sit and peacefully meditated?

We say, "Oh, my mom and dad know that I love them.".  We believe, "There'll always be time for that picnic in the park.".  We tell ourselves, "I don't have time right now for long baths.".  We question, "Do we need to meditate at all?".

Here's the truth.  People won't always be there s find a way to tell them that you love them.  We can always make time for our families and share priceless memories in the park.  We need to take care of our bodies and we deserve some pampering every now and then.

Remind yourself to NEVER TAKE THNGS FOR GRANTED.  All people and things around you are part of your "having" and "being".  Appreciate... be grateful... and give thanks!
