A must-see! From 6 to 9 o'clock in the evening of November 5 to December 31, a million twinkling lights in 15-minute glittering dance showcase to popular Christmas tunes are presented at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City.
Who wouldn't get excited to see the LED lights draping the trees of the Ayala Triangle Gardens? I was there 2 Saturdays ago and took these pictures and some videos. It wasn't a planned visit. I was on my way home from a wake service in Loyola, Guadalupe with some family members of my better half. (As a matter of belief, after attending a YIN activity such as a wake, to dissipate the negative energies, one has to go to a crowded, noisy, and fun place - YANG activity. Yes, it's a new age belief. But, this is really an excuse to see the "out-of-our-way" lights display. LOL!)
A lot of people were still there even though it's already close to 9 pm. The cluster of restaurants in one side of the gardens is jam-packed! On weekdays, the lights are turned off at 9pm but on weekends, it's extended to 10 pm. The show however, still follows its 6 to 9 pm schedule. Ayala's management I suppose will extend the show come December due to the increase in spectators. It's really a wonderful place to spend a few minutes with your family this Christmas season.
I just have to say that I feel like that the lights display is a watered down version of the display last year. There were giant pointy stars on the ground and up the trees in last year's display. Now, spherical Christmas lanterns adorn the trees. Unlike last year, there's no nativity scene this year. Even so, to see the Christmas lights display is still worth your time and effort.
Enjoy Christmas with your family at the Ayala Triangle Gardens!
